t's a good day, folks! Not like we needed an excuse to stuff our mouths with chocolate ice cream, we've still found one. So, you can officially splurge on ice cream today (note, officially!). It's National Chocolate Ice Cream Day (in the US, but we like legitimate excuses), and we couldn't be more excited even if we tried.
There’s nothing like the creamy, sweet taste of ice cream. We can’t get enough! Americans each eat nearly 28 pounds of ice cream a year on average, according to the United States Department of Agriculture.
You must have a Neapolitan box for this ice and fill it up in three or four layers with different coloured and flavoured ice creams (a water ice may be used with the custards); for instance, lemon, vanilla, chocolate and pistachio. Mould in the patent ice cave for about 1½ to 2 hours, turn it out, cut it in slices, and arrange neatly on the dish, on a napkin or dish-paper."
This outrageously easy "ice cream" is just the sort of dessert to please everyone at the table – the vegans, the lactose-intolerant, the paleo enthusiasts, the picky children. Just toss four frozen bananas into a blender and give it a good whirl. If you like soft-serve consistency, eat it right away.
